OUR VISIT TO NIGERIA WAS NOTHING LIKE WE EXPECTED…
In Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, West Africa , Promoting Mandate of Jesus Christ Mission (PMJC NGO Nigeria) visited Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre, a community committed to supporting persons with disabilities and promoting greater dignity, independence, and opportunity.
The visit brought the PMJC team into meaningful contact with individuals whose stories reflected resilience, determination, and hope. Through conversations, shared moments, encouragement, and practical support, the team experienced an outreach that went beyond what could be captured in a photograph.
What made the visit particularly memorable was the people themselves. Their strength and positive spirit offered a powerful reminder that a person’s circumstances do not have to define their potential. Rather than leaving only with the satisfaction of having offered support, the team left with a renewed appreciation for the courage and possibilities that can emerge when people are given the right support and opportunity.
The experience at Beautiful Gate reinforced PMJC’s commitment to humanitarian service that sees beyond circumstances and recognizes the value in every individual.
Sometimes we travel to encourage others, only to discover that the people we came to encourage have something to teach us as well.
